At last, Slainte.
I promised Slainte that I would post this tune when I got round to learning ABC. It was written by the late Michel Ferrie from Fiddler's Bid. I prefer this tune played not too fast but , maybe, it's because I learned it that way. I've left the slurs and grace notes out so that they can be added according to taste.
"Michael Ferrie wrote this tune after watching the family's new kitten playing in the garden. The kitten bravely decided to tackle a large skorie (Herring Gull) and jumped on it's back. The skorie not much impressed, took flight with the kitten aboard. Luckily for the kitten it managed to escape but not until the bird had flown several hundred yards down the field." Notes from the album Da Farder Ben Da Welcomer" by Fiddler's Bid.

Apologies.
I had to make a couple of small amendments in the 2nd and 4th bar of the second part but the "sheet music" had already been added so it's slightly different. The actual ABC is the correct version.

Thanks, John. It sounds weird on the sound file, but it is a great tune. Deaf Shepherd also recorded it.
