Not a waltz...
wasn't sure what meter to put this in...3/4 fits it best, although the feel is like a reel rather than a waltz. I couln't find c minor, so I went with f dorian. I learned this off a cd called "Dancing at the crossroads" by the Crossing. Its pipe tune from scotland, according to the liner notes.
Anyone else heard this tune?

Version from Lowland and Border Piper's Society Session Book for the Scottish smallpipes or Border pipes.
This is the basis of the version on the Caledonian flute CD and is what I am currently working on playing.
Does anyone have the William Dixon Manuscript and does this show extra variations for this tune?
