The Cameronian
Another widely played session tune, and rightfully so.
Watch for those back to back Bs when going from measure 2 to 3 and again from 6 to 7. On fiddle, I do these with on one bow stroke with a cut note (flick of the ring finger) to separate them into the two eighth notes. This helps keep the flow going.

Odd b
Sorry, Jeremy. That b in the opening two notes is supposed to be "B," the next octave down. I fixed the abc...hope it isn't too big a job to repair the sheet music and midi....
Thanks,
Will

Rant
I think this tune has is origins (don't they all) in an old Scottish tune, the Cameronian Rant, found in the Atholl Collection. It was obviously adapted to the Irish reel structure, and transposed to D from its original key of F.

Variation to Last 2 Measures of A Part
A2 FA BCdB|CAGE FDDB|
To my knowledge, that's how most of the people in B-more play it, so I guess it's only a variation depending on how you normally play it.
