Paddy Breen's
An interesting jig but rather bland if played without some well-placed ornaments. I usually short roll the G's in the a part and the e's in the b part. Better musicians than me can probably come up with some neat variations as well
I don't know who Paddy Breen is (or was), perhaps he is related to the Dan Breen of Dan Breen's Reel.

O believe I might be able to blame Mary Bergin for all those short rolls, a bit of fun, and some other bits are courtesy of P.J. Crotty, both gifted musicians...

Paddy Breen´s (jig)
I´ve only just noticed Jonathan´s original posting about the name of this tune.
I´m pretty sure that the Paddy Breen referred to here was from Kilmihil, Co. Clare.
He played flute and whistle and was also an accomplished singer. He spent many years in England and was a contemporary, and a townie, of the late Tom McCarthy.
