As played by Kathleen Collins, more or less. She plays it with Jug of Punch. When I do these I usually slap on a random G minor tune at the end, just to make the guitar player sweat.

Played at slow tempo. If you want to play it along with the Glackin brother's record, tune your instrument a whole tone down (FCGD instead of GDAE, for a fiddle).
Is there a place on the planet where this reel and the "Paddy Fahy's reel" that follows on the Glackin's record are played at sessions ?

On the contrary a Gminor tune is a welcome relief from all the D-chewnes and helps to make the guitarist's life a little more interesting.
Now Eflat without a capo is another thing altogether but I prefer Gmin to F & C major.

Perhaps I was thinking in twisted terms. Happy guitar players, sweating with delight.
