Did Maire O'Keefe write this lovely tune or is it just that someone learnt it from her?

I think she did

According to Jerry Holland

Another version

I heard a version of this in Milltown some years ago - taped a boxplayer playing it, unfortunately no name on tune or player.

It was in C, and I have the ABC for it - will submit it under same name later for comparison.

Never heard anyone play it since then mind you - tried it a few times myself but never got a response, has filtered down into the far reaches of my memory now! Maybe I'll dig it out again for this weekend!

I heard the tune on one of Cherish the Ladies' albums. They say it was composed by Jerry Holland.

C Major Version

Here's the C major version of the tune which is substantially different.

This is a good resource, but for some reason the owner wouldn't let me post this as a separate tune - why I don't know as one part is totally different - so you'll have to decode the ABC for yerselves.

A.
