Scottish tune
Like most reels in C, this one came from Scotland. Donegal fiddler Hughie Gillespie recorded it in the 1930s as "Miss Montgomery," It acquired the name "Phelim's Frolics" when Andy McGann recorded it on his "Tribute to Michael Coleman" LP with Joe Burke and Felix Dolan in the 1960s. They didn't have a name for tune and called it "Phelim's Frolics" after pianist Felix's then very young son.

I thought it was a mistake.
I saw this name associated with the tune, but I thought it was an incorrect mis-naming confused with "Lady Montgomery." Thanks Don.

Randal Bays rang me and asked if I knew the name of this tune for his upcoming recording. I blew it I guess.

G8 tune
This is a great tune in which i 1st hear on the familiar footsteps album by Dezi Donnelly! It can also be found in the lasest Vincent Griffen cd!!
