This is listed as a highland on Altan's 'The Blue Idol,' although it almost sounds like a strathspey with all the triplets and the dotted rhythms. It's played with quite a bit of swing.

On 'The Blue Idol' -
it's actually a highland; apparently Ulstermen (and -women) adapted the Scottish strathspey for their own use.
All the tunes on that track are highlands, save for no. 4, which is a setting of the reel 'Wild Irishman'
