This was a "gaelic" tune, the title of which I can't pronounce. It's translated as "What pain etc....". I had thought it was an Irish tune but I might be wrong.

A jig??
This is a Scottish lament. The composer is not known for certain, but Simon Fraser believed it was written by his father, whose brother had died in the black hole of Calcutta. He once asked his father if he had written the tune, and his father broke down in tears and couldn't answer. He never asked again.
