apparently, John Skelton also does it on "One at a Time". I haven't compared the two versions with each other or with the abc, so I'd welcome anyone's reflections on their variation from each other...? or notes?

Milky Way

Unbelievable! I was about to post this tune tomorrow! The version you've posted is very much how John plays it, and he has added a few wee variations of his own, I think. This was one of the first tunes I ever wrote out the "dots" for, from the playing of Cathal McConnell - I'll post his version's abc's for comparison later. Nice one, JHowley.

actually, Kenny's abc sounds more like the Cucanandy version. that .gif just doesn't sound right when I play it. any way it could get re-transcribed?

Here is a set of reels from Cruinniú, recorded at the Nyah Festival in Cavan in March 2007. The first two reels, composed by Vincent Broderick, are “The Milky Way” and “The Crock of Gold” which is this weeks’ tutorial. The third reel is “The Green Mountain”.
