Composed by Josie McDermott, recordedby John Wynne and "Deanta", and not by "Altan".

there is another tune of the same name..composed by also by Josie Mc Dermott played by Altan as the 4th tune of a set ( The curlew...) on Horse with no name..As the name is not mentioned on the record notes but only on Norbeck and JC ABC tune finder .is it a mistake and is this the real one? so?

Landowne Lass
Paul95 - see "Gan Ainm", and discussion "Seeking Help Identifying Tunes" both posted 19th Nov. My last 3 words were deliberate. Norbeck is not infallible. You can believe me, John Wynne and "Deanta" or not - it's up to you.

Lansdowne Lass
Kenny, thanks for posting this. Deanta is one of my all-time favorite Irish bands. Although they play Lansdowne Lass pretty slow it sounds quite nice as a faster tune tune. I learned the tune this weekend.

...which begs the question - What is the other tune that I posted in the comments section of
http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/2172 , which appears in Adrian Scahill's collection as The Lan(d)sdowne Lass?
