There is also a slow air with the same name. The air and hornpipe are played together on "My Love is in America; the Boston College Irish Fiddle Festival."

Dingle Bay

Does anyone know what "Sliabh Na MBan" translates to? I learned this tune (a slightly different version, but still the same tune it seems) from Mike Rafferty at a workshop about a year ago, and he called it "Dingle Bay".

Sliabh Na MBan

"Mountain of the Women", I think. There's a song to the air (not the hornpipe) - great version by Al O'Donnell. Finbar Furey has recorded the slow air tune version.

Tune info

Would someone put their mark on this tune for me with the slurs and bow strokes they use. I just want to see the different ways and styles that each player uses. I put in a few of the slurs I think sound alright but I'm just starting out and using the Matt Cranitch book as a guide. All advice welcome. I've already read Will's comments on bowing patterns etc and they really helped me get some pusle into the tunes. Thanks I'll be really greatful if ye put yere mark on this tune for me.

The Dingle Bay (hornpipe)

Here's a more flute-friendly version from Mike Rafferty's playing:
