The Sea Of Clouds
Well done!

Nice one, Mark! My first thoughts are that it would go well with Miss Langford's (another single reel), what do you think?

The Sea of Clouds
Since some of us use something other than our real names on this site how can we attribute original compositions in a correct fashion? This is why I feel that the composer category "C:" should be a part of the ABC notation.

Trev, that Miss Langford's is a nice tune - must have missed that when you posted it. Another possibility for a set is with "The Flower Of The Flock".

I have realised that I neglected to say anything about the title of this tune. There's nothing Irish about the name. The tune was named for the "Sea Of Clouds" view from the top of Alishan, Taiwan. Here's a link to a map and photo http://202.39.225.132/jsp/Eng/html/travel_tour/journey_content.jsp?journey_id=63. I was lucky enough to be there in the autumn, when you can get the best view from the top of the mountain at sunrise. I was alone for most of the time because I got there too early. I remember it being absolutely freezing cold, and I was shivering uncontrollably. But the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains was worth it. It really does look like a white sea with rolling waves. The angle of the sunlight on the clouds is absolutely breathtaking. If you ever get the chance, go and see it!
