Great melody - was it ever played as a slide in the Sliabh Luachra style as when I started humming it, it had a slide feel to it? However, the geography would suggest otherwise with Con Cassidy being a Donegal fiddler and also the Altan connection.

Wow, this was one of the first jigs I ever learned, and I forgot how much I liked it! It was also one of the first tunes I ever put it in a set -- followed by Irish Washerwoman (i *said* it was when I was a beginner) and Merrily Kiss the Quaker. I remember I was so proud of that set... LOL
