Yes, it's a very great and exciting tune, thanks for posting it! But I've always heard it with F naturals. Did you really mean F sharp? or if not, could it be adjusted?

Yes, in this key, the fs would be natural, but the original key would have been A with G naturals- ie, the "bagpipe" scale.

James Scott Skinner

Anyone interested in this tune should have a long hard look at the variations composed by James Scott Skinner for this. Awesome.

And although the music was published with f#, I think it sounds much better playing all f naturals. Whopping it onto the flute requires a bit of creative substitution of low notes, nothing unsurmountable though - listen to Chris Norman's version on the Caledonian Flute CD.
