I learned this at Blazin in Beauly last year, taught by Iain MacFarlane. But I know nowt about it.

Poor show if he couldn't tell you it was composed by Gordon Duncan from Pitlochry, one of Scotland's best, and certainly most innovative pipers.

FYI, I did put the composer into the ABC, but it's mysteriosuly vanished! So apologies for that! And Iain did tell us who wrote it and where he was from... but I'm sure he told us other background stuff too that I've forgotten!

Fair enough, drizzt - but you did say you knew "nowt" about the tune. There's usually a good story behind the titles of Gordon's tunes (eg "Andy Renwick's Ferret" ), and if you remember/find out I'd love to hear it. All the best.

The composer's name should be in the ABC notation but Jeremy wants to see it in the comments. When someone copies the ABC notation all information should be there. Jeremy, if you're using ABC notation why not use it correctly?

most frustrating tune I've ever tried to learn on my box. this version also seems to have a lot of extra notes that when played to speed magically disappear. Anyone able to prune this down to the basics for me?

Mispelling
I just added this tune in the "additional names" section as "The Forth Floor". I know it's a mispelling, but someone spelled it that way on the Old Blind Dogs CD Five.

Actually, it's not on the CD that way though, but listed on this site for the recording of Old Blind Dogs Five. Curiously, it's also listed on the OBD website as The Forth Floor.
