The Glass of Beer
I've heard this played as a two-part tune and as a three-part tune (see the "variation")--not sure which version would be considered "standard."

Glass of Beer
I play the 2 part variant, but find the the 3rd part interesting. It seems to me the 3rd part could also be tagged on at the end to end the tune with: i.e. play aabbaabba'a' where a' is the variant of part a.

Third part
I think the third part is just the variation on the first part. Could be wrong, but thats what it looks like to me.

Third part
Yes, that third part is a variation on the first part. That's why it says "Part A variation, sometimes played as a Part C" in the ABC notation.

Possible part C
Huh...I've been learning this one, and I haven't heard any recordings of it with that variation played as a part C -- I suppose you could end with it and not go back to the A part to keep it from sounding like you've just done four A parts. Does anyone know of a recording of it done with the variation played as a C part?
# Posted on July 17th 2001 by Zina Lee
Tune's in Bm, No?
Not Edor-- The A part admits of endless variations that resemble your "C part"--doesn't look different enough to really be a separate part (to me).

Yea...
It's in Bm.
(Can these things be changed?)

A free recording
This tune is one of the one's at the Whistle Shop's Slow Session page. They have sheetmusic, and both full speed and slowed down mp3s of the tune being played on whistle. http://www.thewhistleshop.com/slow/session.htm

Glasses and glasses of beer
I think Will might have had too many glasses of beer when he posted this.

I think the whistler at 'TheWhistleShop' was pissed when he made that recording...

As of today, when I'm not playing it with others, I going to play it with all the d's sharpened... Most of the time at least. It gives it an interesting feel...
