Bonnie Woodside?
A colleague tells me this is better know as "Kate Elliots Jig" (possibly by Northumbrian Piper Chris Ormston) and Bonnie Woodside is similar but different. (If you know what I mean).

Not Bonny Woodside
Geoff, your friend's right - this isn't Bonny Woodside. That's quite a different tune in D by Billy Pigg.

Kate Elliots
I tried to introduce this tune (and the correct Bonny Woodside) into an Irish session in Byker, Newcastle as both were local and fit an Irish idiom. Unfortunately, the heathens kept going into Tripping Upstairs.

Arrgh - both tunes are miles better than Tripping Upstairs. No taste!!

OK I Admit It!
Katie Elliott's is one of mine. In my experience people mix it up with the (inaccurate) version of Charlie Hunter on the Music at Matt Molloy's CD!! I should have written something more original, LOL!
