This is the first tune on Kevin Burk's album If the cap fits, I asked
Kevin if he had a name for it and he told me he learned it along time ago but never had a title so if anybody out there knows one
they may post it. I play all the tunes from that album so I will post the missing ones soon.

It's "John Kelly's". Also comes in D dorian. Lovely tune.

Nice Tune. Thanks.

I learned the final bar of the first part as |A2 FE D3 A|
On fiddle, try sliding up to the first B. For variation, in the next to last bar of the second part the high g can be rolled as well as the f. Really nice tune!

A Kerry reel - key??

I'm a bit confused here - The ABC states the key as E min, then procedes to sharpen all the F's and C's. Is this just not a plain old D maj reel, as it also seems to end up on D?

(or have I missed something?)

It's E dorian surely?

very confusingly similar to Michael Kennedy's reel

(I first heard both tunes off Kevin Burke's recordings, Michael Kennedy's appears on Up Close)
