Thrush in the Straw
Grey Larsen does essentially the same tune as "The Thrush in the Straw" on his album The Green House. In the album notes he says it is from the whistle playing of Seamus Ennis. Grey does it as a slow jig, followed by The Banks of Lough Gowna, and I love it. Grey plays a D/A anglo concertina and Paddy League is on guitar. Here is a basic version of what he does, without the concertina ornaments. Of course he varies it each time through, for example three eighth notes become a quarter and eighth or a dotted quarter or vice versa (apologies for the American terms; quavers to crochets and vice versa). I included a few examples of his variations in the repeated phrases.
The meter and key are the same as in Humors of Lisheen.

Charlie Mulvihill composition
Paddy Reynolds believes this is a Charlie Mulvihill composition. It appears on their duet album Atlantic Wave under the title Tommy's Favourite.

A variant of The Humours of Lisheen
I heard a version of this tune recently, played by Sonnich Lydom on the button accordeon. If you can tell me more about the origin of this version, whether I got it right, etc., please do.
