Gallagher's Frolics

This version is a blend of Martin Hayes' on The Lonesome Touch and a recording by Osna. Hayes does this tune fairly slowly and takes full advantage of the many places to add rolls and moving triplets. The Osna version is more driving, up-tempo. The tune works well either way, depending on your mood at the time. Fiddlers watch the 4th measure in the second half: you'll need to hit both the high "a" on the first string and the "d" on the second string simultaneously with your ring finger to get both notes at speed. The "a" then acts as a faint cut or grace note to the next "f."

The Clare (Planxty - Live 2004)??

I'm looking for "The Clare" on Planxty's Live 2004 album, but (unless I'm hearing a very different version) this isn't it?
I'm sure the differences are more than a few ornaments. Does anyone know where to find the one I'm after? I've tried searching all the tunes called Clare or "The Clare". Thanks!
Will.

Tell Her I Will

I recorded this tune at a session at Feile Chois Cuain, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo, May 2006, played on the accordeon by James Langan of Newport Co. Mayo (I think). He called it 'Tell Her I Will', and played it after 'Tell Her I Am' - and got a good laugh from the punters by announcing the names before playing the tunes. Makes a nice set.
