Johnny McIljohn's Second
Someone posted the better known of the two tunes associated with Johnny McIljohn, and there was some discussion about the other tune which is named after him. This is it. I think it came my way via a tape of Dermot Byrne a few years ago. They don't come much simpler, but that's it's charm. My first attempt at posting a tune, so I hope there's no errors. I'm sure I'll be told if there are !

I believe I was the one talking about the second Johnny Mc tune and, indeed, this is it. Good man!

Lady Montgomery's
I've only ever heard this called "Lady Montgomery". It's on Altan's "The Red Crow", track 1.

Good posting, Kenny.
Keep it up. The tune sounds a lot like some other tune I know...Mulqueen's, maybe?

Mayo Reel
Thanks Kenny for the tune. I just remember this is the one Paul McGrattan recorded as Mayo Reel in his "Frost is All Over," which is definitely the same as Altan's Lady Montgomery.

Lady Montgomery's
This reel is also on Cathal McConnell's first recording. He cites Tommy Peoples as the source. I believe Altan also learned it from Tommy.

Mary O'Neill's
Shaskeen call this Mary O'Neill's on their Mouse Behind the Dresser album.

Other Mayo Reel
There seem to be 2 Mayo reels on this album. Does anyone know the name of the second?

The second Mayo Reel on Paul McGrattan's "The Frost is All Over" is probably Eddie Moloney's: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/1771
