Carolan's Receipt

The story goes that Carolan drank too much and this made him ill. His doctor took him off drinking. But now Carolan felt even worse, so off he goes for a second opinion about his ilness. Enter Dr. John Stafford. The good old Doc's receipt ( or prescription as we now refer to it ) was too have a drink ! Happily, Carolan's spirits were lifted !
Derek Bell of the Chieftans play this peice on a CD of the same name. This CD, Carolan's Receipt along with his CD Carolan's Favourite, are devoted to the music of Carolan. Fantastic listening.

In part 2, bar 6, the last "C" semi quaver before the end of the bar shouldn,t be a "Middle C " but an octave higher sitting in the middle of the staff . Sorry. I'm New to ABC stuff.
