Concert reel
There is an error in the seetmusic. The second dot is G, not A.
(sorry). The ABC is correct.

what's a seetmusic?
# Posted on February 28th 2003 by gian marco
"seet" is a dialect English word meaning either "sight", "set", or an obsolete past tense of "sit". "Sight" is the clearly the intended meaning in this context.

it's harder to read if you're sitting on it!

'Seet' is also an ornithologist's term for a type of alarm call, which is used and understood by almost all species of bird. 'Seet music', however, is an oxymoron since a bird's 'call' is quite distinct from its 'song'.

Declan Masterson's setting from "Fairwater"

So he plays the first measure of each part the same as the 5th bar in the posted transcription. I think this gives the start of the tune a bit more lift, especially coming out of another reel.

Confusion in this reel's name.
If you listen to the albums that are supposed to have this reel on them, you'll find that there is confusion - if not error - in its naming. With all due humility, my research points the confusion to originate from Stockton's Wing 1978 album and F. Gavin & A. Finn 1977 album. I find Gavin is unfortunately quite proliific in confusing names.
