A Traditional Breton Reel
I transcribed this nameless Breton tune from the playing of Calico "Celanova Sq." Diarmaid Moynihan is a brilliant composer, but he also has a talent for selecting and introducing nice foreign tunes.
Just like the one I submitted before (http://thesession.org/tunes/display.php/776), this one is melodious enough to mix with Irish tunes, though the band plays "the Haggis" after it and then goes on to "Bird in the Bush."

Please comment on this tune. Is it unwelcome on this site?
I personally think this one is a kind of prototype of Irish tunes. I feel I heard a similar Irish reel somewhere before.

This is good, proof that slainte submits tunes other than the 'officially sanctioned' Irish... He may have to burn his robes of the holy order of Irish Inquisitors, alias the tune police, or confine himself to a cell for meditation and silence... Nah, maybe a hair shirt and a whip for self-flagelation is more called for...or having to take up the bodhran or bombarde...

I've been working hard to neutralise this post, you know. I've learned a couple of other nice Breton tunes, but I won't post them.

Yes, I know... I have managed to keep the big book on that closed...
In time all will be forgiven...
