This is an old Northumbrian jig (from the Lockey Manuscripts, if that means anything to anyone) - and one of my favourite tunes from that part of the world. I got it form Kathryn Tickell's album "On Kielder Side". On the Northumbrian pipes, which are usually pitched in F, it would be played in G-dorian, but I have transposed it up a tone to make it sit better on "Irish" instruments. It works well in its original key on fiddle/mandolin, though.

Bari tune, like
I've got that album and this is one of the nicest tunes on it. I think it works nicely at a faster pace also, so that it becomes like a slide.
