This tune is from the National Library of Wales (Tro Llaw). Paganini (1782-1840), was possibly the greatest of all violin virtuosi and composed concertos and and other works which even now tax the greatest players in world. He gave concerts in London in 1831, shortly before his retirement due to ill-health, and I like to think that a fiddle player saw him perform there and was inspired to pen this hornpipe. We'll probably never know for certain.

Cool! I didn't know that Paganini inspired a hornpipe.
