This is (obviously for UK-based people) a recent tune composed by Scottish fiddler Sandy Mathers. I asked him if it was okay to post it on this site given that I'd heard it played in sessions in Sydney (!) and that it can be found on Richard Robinson's tune index and therefore also JC's. This was one of the first reels I ever learnt, taught to me at school by my woodwork teacher who used to make himself mandolins and appalachian dulcimers. Since then, the tune seems to have spread. On RR's index there is a copyright mark, so if anyone wants to perform it or record it, it would be easy enough to e-mail and ask first, but he doesn't seem to mind it being on the net.
