At my local session, this always gets played after Crowley's #1, also posted on this site. I've found versions on JC's in which the two different variations of that descending phrase in the A-part are each repeated and made into an A- and B-part, making the whole tune in 3 parts. I've always found this posted version fairly "safe" for sessions though.

Please ignore the first "repeat" barline - I must have transcribed it by accident. You only play through the A-part once - at least in this setting.

I've more often heard the descending phrase in the penultimate bar of the B-part played:

Another setting

Here's a version I learned from the playing of Boston-area fiddler George Keith. He plays it with a nice light touch, great lift, and flute-like rolls (evenly spaced cuts and lifts).

Flingin' it about, but also nice in 'G Major', and there are a few places in this one that would 'snap' nicely too...

Note: the title ascribed to the 'fling' is tongue in cheek... "Crowley's Fling" will to just fine...
