The Maple Leaf

I don't think this is the same tune as recorded on The Maple Leaf, by Chris McGrath et all ? The Maple Leaf on there is a reel.

That's right, banjowalsh. I posted the reel long before the jig was posted.

The Maple Leaf

It doesn't say it's the tune on the album.

Please folks, you must realise that the links to album tracks are automatically generated once a tune and a track have the same name. Sometimes they aren't actually the same tune but there's nothing can be done about that.

That's why it specifically says "Recordings of a tune by this name" not "Recordings of *this* tune".

I think banjowalsh was simply pointing out the differences between the tunes. That being irregardless to how The Session operates.

The Maple Leaf tune thats on Donncha O'Brian is not the one posted here. Its a reel in E minor written by Darach De Brun.
