Tune Origin
I learned this tune off Chris Wood and Andy Cutting's first album: "Chris Wood and Andy Cutting". Jules Verret is or was (?) a fiddler from Lac St-Charles, presumably this is one of his tunes. I know another of his called "Reel en Re de Jules Verret", which is very different.

Measures 1 & 5?
Should the E's in mm. 1 & 5 actually be Eb's? That is the way I seem to remember the tune.

E or Eb?
Your guess is as good as mine! Chris Wood and Andy Cutting definitely play them as Enat, but I have no idea whether this is representative of what Verret himself played. It isn't in Danse ce Soir and I haven't heard anyone else play it (there are loads of tunes associated with Jules Verret, which makes finding other versions a bit challenging).
