Yellow Car No Return

Reel in B minor/B dorian - maybe sounds better played single rather than double?

Think it could do with a couple of tweaks but these chords seem to work ok

Edgar, where did you get this wee beauty?

For all the nonsense spouted over in the discussions section regarding dots v's ears etc one spin through my editor and I can hear this is a wee cracker.

I composed it - I think

There's always an element of doubt when I compose a tune because there's always the worry that all I am doing is dragging it back from the recesses of my memory. One good thing about the Session website is that there are people who recognise loads of tunes and if I was just remembering one somebody would spot it and say so

I am always messing about with different instruments and playing about with phrases - sometimes these tunes seem to write themselves. .

Well Edgar, I like it and what appeals about the doubled setting for wee tunes like this is that good players (better than I, lol) would make much use of the repeat.

I wouldn't dwell too long on originality, something borrowed, something new etc. It's a stand up wee tune, well done.

FAQs ~ :-/ ~ when just about every other tune submitted is your compostion

Number of tunes submitted: 28 ~ of which 11 are own compositions... And, yes, some nice ones too, but maybe you should show consideration of the webmaster's reasonable request, and the rest of us, and add future inspirations, their ABCs, in your 'details', wiht a bit of the story behind them, as others have had the grace to do, such as fiddlerdan and the Reverend... Or strike a balance somehow...
