Escher's Staircase
Linda Relph here. This is one of my original tunes, written during the summer of 2008. My husband Chris named it for me, saying that it twisted in and around itself much like the M.C. Escher painting. My band Nine-8ths Irish recorded the tune, and you can hear it on our album "Out on the Ocean."

Notes, ABCs
Hi Linda! You might not know, but it's typically the case on the Session that people add traditional tunes before adding their own compositions. Not really a big issue, but when in Rome!

You could also clean up the ABCs just a little thus:
X: 1
T: Escher's Staircase
M: 6/8
L: 1/8
R: jig
K: Dmix
C:Linda Relph, 1/08

"D" DED FDG|DAD BDc|"C"dcB AGE|CEG DFA||
"D"dAe fAg|agf edB|"C"~c3 ece|"G" gdB gfe|

Cheers!

Great tune thanks!
Stumbled on your version on Itunes and really like it. Giving it a go now. Seems like a real keeper, a tune with a nice spirit to it. That C note sure makes a good feeling in a lot of fiddle tunes.

FAQs
Three self-composed tunes in a row is a bit overkill, whatever genius they might represent. Here since 2007 I'd have thought you'd have bothered to read the FAQs, or at least peruse them. You could try another option some use here, putting the ABCs and tales behind your tunes in your 'Details' on site here. It's one way around the courtesy of the webmaster's request.
You are not alone, we had one person who was dumping a lot of his genius on us until our gracious and patient webmaster made the move to start deleting them after six in a row... It never surprises me the many composers who seem unable to meet the simple request Jeremy makes, at least 5 traditional tunes for every self-composed submissing. Funny, they always seem to start with their own compositions too as their first submission here...
There is no shortage of the self-composed, since all things came from some root or another. We've just lost track of many of those composers. The joy of tradition is the wear and tear over time that results in all the gems we have to play, whatever their origin. Or, maybe an agate in a riverbed is a better way of looking at it, the roughness being smoothed over time, but still natural.

You could try 'new compositions' by others?
My mistake - brain fried - I was in your third composition, giving all three some play time, but commented here in your first by mistake. Here's the third -
"Incandescent" - reel
