Jesse Smith, one of America's finest exports...
I found this sturdy little tune on fiddler Jesse Smith's latest CD, a collaboration with Colm Gannon (Box) & John Blake (Piano, Guitar & Flute) entitled "The Ewe With the Crooked Horn". He and Colm pair this tune with "I'm A Man in Myself Like Oliver's Bull" (a version of "Kitty's Rambles" collected by P.W. Joyce). Colm is one of those most astonishing Box players who can play any tune in ANY key, having learned the instrument inside-out/outside-in/upside-down, etc. Because of this ability, the tunes heard on the album appear in some very unusual keys, some of which Jesse re-tunes the fiddle for, & others that he "does the work" on (he's QUITE capable of playing in difficult keys, anyway). Since I am familiar with "Kitty's Rambles" & what key it is usually played in, I used that to figure out what key "Drimroe Cross" should be. Thank heaven I play a fretted instrument & have a capo! Once again, enjoy!

Duplication
Hi Jay! Nice tune, but there's already a version here:

that I found using tunepal. Among the titles are Old Walls of Liscarroll, John Feehily's, and James Murray's.
