Vidars Vals
This is written by Vidar Skrede (http://www.thesession.org/members/display/17398), and is usually just called Vidarvalsen when we play it in sessions or at parties around Oslo. One of the finer waltzes I've heard.

My tune
Hi, thanks for uploading my tune, it's a nice version of it.
However I would appreciate if I get credited for this tune since it's one of my compositions.
It has no name, so I just call it Vals (waltz in Norwegian), but if anybody has a name for it or an suggestion I would be very interested to know.
You can find the original version recorded by one of my bands "Geitungen" on the album "Bra Kast!". You can listen to it at the band's website: www.geitungen.no or my website: www.vidarskrede.no
and you can buy the track at itunes: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/vals/id297299552
or at gogoyoko: http://www.gogoyoko.com/#/album/Bra_Kast
- track 3
When I get time I will upload the sheets for it for those who are interested in the original version.
Anyway it's lovely to see one of your own tunes getting spread out there cross borders.
Thanks.

Just finished listening to the song Vidar's site.
Fantastic. I will be purchasing this tune from itunes. Thank you for sharing it. the version here seems to be missing something in the first few measures. I would love to see the original sheet music if you still plan on posting it.
Thanks

Missing something? The 4th measure is slightly different yes, but I don't see how it is "missing something".
Either way, one of the best waltzes I've ever played.

Maybe missing something was not the way to put it.
listening to the recording, it almost sounds like there is a grace note or something in measure 1, 2, 5, and 6. maybe my ears are playing tricks on me but it sounds like i am hearing 4 notes in those measures. it is definitely a very moving piece.
