From the 1743 tunebook by Petrus Josephus Van Belle, which was discovered in the early 1970s. It had been hidden inside the church organ of Viane, East Flandres, for more than two centuries.
Most of the tunes in the manuscript have no title; they are named after the page number of the booklet. Whenever there are two tunes on one page the suffix "bis" is added for the second tune.
A selection of the Van Belle tunes has been recorded by Flemish group 't Kliekske on the album Instrumentaal.
