The name of this one reminds me of Mimi the enterprising Greek air hostess who ran the EU for six months.
The Greek Prime Minister, Andreas Papandreou, who had left his wife to annex the cute little bombshell, was not in a good way when Greece got the EU Presidency, Jan to June 1994. In fact, he was on the way out.
Mimi tightly controlled everything that happened around him, and ran Europe. Her qualifications for doing this were probably scarifyingly modest.
Eoin Duignan, the uiillean piper and whistler who lives in Dingle, County Kerry. It's on his CD Coumineol. The track is listed as Mimi and the New Generation Polkas but there are three polka's in the set so don't know what they are individually called.
Mimi polka
Where did you get this engaging wee polka dlowder?

Mimi polka
Heard at this week's session -- I believe they got it from a recording of Verena Commins & Julie Langan.
I heard it followed by Padraig O'Keefe's: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/5877/details
