"Eileen Ní Ríordáin's Barndance"
Another lovely melody, and hoping it's not a duplication, but if it is I'll move this transcriptions and some others into the 'comments'. This is from the playing of fiddler Mary Custy and friends. I wasn't able to find an alternate title for it, or titles, at least not yet.
Thanks Kenny for supplying the inspiration...

And at least another take of possibilities will follow... I'll also keep looking to see if I can find out anything more on this one, title-wise or otherwise...

The Mudgee Schottische ?
To the player of Aussie trad music, this looks an awful lot like The Mudgee Schottische, which one always suspected was, like so many of our other 'bush tunes' just a re-badged and party altered tune from Irish or English settlers.
Who is Eileen Ni Riordain ? Is she known ? Still around ?

A box player from Coolea, County Cork, source for a number of nameless tunes that have since taken her name, I too would welcome more information...

Eileen visited Australia back in the 1980s and she listened keenly to the tunes we were playing. Mudgee Scottische was probably one of them ...
was it the the chicken or the egg that came first?
