I'm posting this tune in response to a request from a session.org member. I can't remember who it was, as the request was submitted some while ago, and I've only just got around to transcribing it.
The title suggests that it's from the North of England, although I understand that the tune known in Ireland.
Perhaps someone could cast some light on its origin?
My feeling is that it's one of those jigs that needs to be taken at a fairly steady speed. Taken at a steady speed, it sets well with another EMin jig called "The Champion" (already posted to session.org)

This may have been composed by one of the members of Staffordshire band Reynardine as I came across it in a book of their tunes years back. However, many trad tunes are in the book, too, so it may be trad.
I don't have much information on them, but the late Michael Raven was their guitarist and his web site has some general information:
