Aurora

I bought McGoldrick's new album Aurora the day it came out on iTunes and have loved it since so I thought I'd help keep the album going here and submit one of the easier tunes I could pick out...I'm fairly certain of the name but I'm just going off what the notes about the album say on here sunk I don't have any liner notes of my own..

Wrong key

Sorry, I just realized a mistake on my part. This should be in E minor, not A Dorian....woops

The Stonewaller Polka

Great tune. Sounds as if could be played as a reel. It's got the drive of a reel.

Stonewaller polka

In fact if you look at it as a 4/4 tune, a reel, you get 8 bars each in the A and B parts instead of the 16 bars in each part as a 2/4 tune, so you end up with a standard 32 bar tune. I would play it like a reel.

A reel polka?

It was a little ambiguous to me too but I chose polka because...actually I don't remember why I chose polka...oh well, as long as it can still be recognized as a good tune I'm happy with it
