The Piper on the Hob
I love this tune.Seamus, Ennis, amongst others considered this to be one of the oldest tunes in the Irish repertoire. The name is a probably a contraction.
of "The Piper on the Hob",a nickname for the House Cricket .
Noel Jackson.
