Sorry

This is actually one of my own.

And for any Brit that's wondering what a Dust Bunny is, they're the clumps of dust that collect under your bed, and couch, and any other hard to clean under place. (they're not bugs!)

Tied notes

oh, and there're supposed to be ties across the bar lines between 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8. Also in bar 4 the G's are tied, and the E's (for syncopation). And the D's in bars 7 and 8. In the second part, the same follows for tying across the barline (1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8). And finally the E's in the 7th bar.

I didn't see a way to put ties in in the abc notation.

And for the fiddlers, I like playing the Cnatural to C# with my 2nd and 3rd finger, instead of a slide. :)

In your transcription your ABCs are missing something in the A-part, bar 7 ~ the third D...

One of your own, no, you're kidding. :-/ While your in an 'inspirational' mood be sure to check the FAQs here, something some folks tend to ignore but for which some familiarity with helps to make this a community of shared interests. Some folks who feel unable to meet Jeremy's, the webmaster, simple request for 'balance' had taken to adding their creations to their details on site here, as ABCs. There are a number of such curious treasures scattered about here. I have uncovered a few myself and after spending some time with them, and liking a few, I've moved them from 'details' to here, the tune database. That is generally safer. As you might understand, most compositions, especially amongst those with a half baked understanding or respect for tradition, are cack, shight...

FAQ: Can I submit my own compositions

Well... The Session isn't really intended for that. If you do post one of your own compositions, then you must do your "penance", so to speak, by balancing each original composition with about five trad tunes.

Thanks for the tips with the ABC's, it's new to me, I'm used to dealing with Sibelius when notating music. I'll get on to fixing it. And make sure my other submissions are more accurate.

I did see that part in the FAQ's, and technically it does say you can as long as you balance it out as I will do at the pace of a tune a day. Guess I should have lied and said a friend wrote it..

You could have always had a friend submit it for you, then you'd be free of responsibilty for both the ABCs and this submission... It has been done before...

The tip about using your details for compositions, quite a few folks do, including those who can't be bothered with adding at least 5 for some kind of arbitrary balance...
