The Acharavi

Here comes "The Acharavi" from Flook's "Waltzes". It is the second tune in the set. Original it is played on an F Whistle.
I hope the keyand the notation is right. It is a very easy tune to play but very difficult to write down ;-)

I think all the "3"s were meant to mean triplets- Triplets should be notated like this: (3AAA

I think a lot of that in there is Brian's triple-tonguing too, which I usually leave out of the ABCs, because it can make them a little cluttered looking....

Thanks for posting this, though, I've been meaning to learn this tune, but now I've no excuse!

ABC Notation ~ something missed here on several counts

This needs a serious cleanup if it's to last. Go here for some guidance. If it goes "POOF!" you can always correct things and resubmit it later. If you need help with this you could ask in a 'Discussion". Someone will be familiar with the tune and also have basic ABC notation down...

Sorry. I've correct the triplets. Now it works :)

Good one, but you've still the problem of key signature ~ &

2 d3 e c>G | A2 A>D E>G | A A>D E>G | B4 (3BBA |

2 d3 e c>G | A2 A>D E>G | A2 A>D E>G | B3 |]

Sorry, just a quick check in, back to work...

If it were A Dorian, then all the Fs are ^ by default...

# Posted on March 26th 2010 by ceolachan

I'd say the key is definitely Amix, though the B part is a nice contrast.

Back for a moment ~ yes! ~ if the Gs are all natural, but it also plays well as A Major with all the Gs ^sharp. Unfortunately I don't have the recording to know for sure. Either way, a curious change into the B-part, or so it seems...

This Tune is actually by Brian Finnegan. It's a long story and I'm the the right person to tell it but it's Brians.

^ Sounds like one of his too.
