"The Amaryllis Schottische"
This might be a temporary name for this one. It came easily to me while schottisching around in the kitchen, quietly, and I suddenly found myself lilting this melody. They arrive that easily, and all the time, on walks, even in the middle of the night. I sometimes catch myself doing it when reading. As this came along so easily it may be something I already knew, but as yet haven't managed to find, or it could be inspired from many that came before it, with some borrowing, which is natural. I was about to give it the temporary name of "The Kitchen Schottische" when I looked up to see a window full of large Amaryllis blossoms I'd grown from seed. The madness of that was that I actually ended up with around 30 plants ~ and everyone in our immediate circle of influence, dancers and musicians, ended up with one as a gift. All have since reached blossom, around the 3rd hear of existence... There are about eight large blossoms currently in view here, and more rising from the their bulbs...
The meal it was built on was a success, tasty...
I enjoyed dancing to this and lilting it and later playing it, and I hope maybe it will bring some joy to others. An alternate name considered for a short span was "A Schottische to Drive Away Evil Spirits"...
