A major I think
The version I learned from Sliabh Lucra playing is I believe in a major and is played at a fair lick alongside Egan's and the Ballydesmond. Ever seen them dance to this in Dan O'Connell's in Knocknagree in Kerry? It's played fast with plenty of lift and drive. The older dancers really MOVE to this set. BRILLIANT to watch. Even youngsters I know can't dance this fast!

Sweeney's in Bmin
for anyone interested: this is the version I got in Bmin.
I didn't put any ornamentations since that differs depending what instrument you play, though I would put some downbeat accentuation in parts 1,2 and 5.

Sweeney's Wheel
From FC: "Sweeney's Wheel" - a composition of County Cork accordion player Jackie Daly, composed for a ‘character’ named Sweeney who resides in Gort, County Galway. A man of eccentric pursuits, one of Sweeney’s interests is trying to design a perpetual motion machine, which Daly’s reflects in his tune by having the melody go round and round without ever coming to an end (on the album it simply fades out)."
