Can't believe this one wasn't already here. A true chestnut. I love the mixolydian groove in the second part.

I think the composer was Levi Beaulieu, lui-meme. It's now a relatively common contradance tune. I first heard it played by Lisa Ornstein on a recording that's now out of print. It may have been made popular by the playing of Kerry Elkin. Rodeny Miller and David Surette play a killer version on their CD "New Leaf".
