A great reel....
There was some recent discussion about the trio "Trian" and their 2 recordings. This is the very first tune on "Trian 2", and hadn't been posted yet. The sleeve notes say :
"The first reel, "The Little Man With The Brown Shoes", is a composition of Billy [McComiskie]'s. He wrote it in 1984 for his son, Patrick, who had just gotten his first pair of "grown-up" brown shoes.
A fine reel this, by any standards.
I can't take credit for the transcription, which is yet another gratefully received from Malcolm Reavell, flute and sax player from Aberdeen.

Asher Perkins
Here's a clip of Finvarra's Wren playing the tune. I think they take the endings a bit different than the transcription. Asher would have learned the tune from either from that same album or direct from Billy or Sean McComiskey,
