"The Yuletide Log"

Something for the season...

This, tunewise and titlewise, raised in this mind the image of one of those larvae/nymphs, can't quite pull out the name for it, that live in streams, ponds and lakes and collect bits of things around them for camouflage, resulting in a little tube of stones or sand or twigs...

Ain't nature amazin'?

"The Dublin Reel" ~ proof of those environmental influences 8-)

After all, it is another place close to our hearts, the place and the tune...

Thanks for the gift!

I have to admit, I sometimes find tunes--or versions thereof--with this degree of chromaticism a bit saccharine. I this case, however, they add up to something quite Yulicious! :)

Raw cane sugar, we don't allow no saccharine in this house... ;-)

Enjoying this Yuletide Tune Again!

So, a year later and a year's more gratitude for you, ceol!

.... And for another Yule...

Many thanks, again! Playing this one with a bit of swing this season...

WOW! Muse, I'm all smiles... I wish you were near to share a tune and a brew with... May this Christmas and New Year be rich with joy, music, dance and good company, and for those unavoidable challenges life can throw at us, may you have both the inner strength of self, and the outer one of family and friends, to help you survive and come out the wiser for it...

If I ever record a Celtic Yule..

album, I would certainly include this! :)

And for you, ceol, as the old Scottish toast goes: "May the best you've ever seen be the worst you'll ever see!" For the year ahead and thereafter!
