Cape Breton Jig
I got this tune from the playing of Buddy MacMaster while at Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddle Camp in the early 90's. When I asked the name of it, both he and David MacIssac couldn't remember it.

& neither can I, but I'm familiar enough with it...
I did a quick look and haven't yet found it, but I'm sure I have it both on a recoding and in notes, somewhere... It's a fun jig to play and dance to... It may be an extension of the confusions I've been in lately, but I'm remembering this with a second ending ~

Where did that extra D come from? 1st part, second bar ~ DDD/=E/F ~ which should read instead ~ DD/=E/F...

~ or ~ DD/D/=E/F

~ I meant ~ D/D/D/=E/F

recoding, recording, letters dropping in and out, is this some kind of spatial anomaly? WHOOOSH! Damn, that's it, the bite one of those little floor dwellers gave me on the toe. It's gone and got infected, but in a spatial anomaly sort of way, if you know what I mean. Well, they life in a different dimension, so this infection is causing letters to disappear and reappear, out of the usual order of time and space... Que the old "Twilight Zone" theme music...
I've sent a Jack Russell down their hole, so I shouldn't be bothered by those little atonal rag balls for a spell... Now, where's me rum?

You might find this tune on Donald Angus Beaton's tape. I know that he played it and I thought that he played it in C major.

Missing slur added
I added a slur tying the first 4 notes together; I think it makes it easier to play this way (for fiddlers anyway):
