Revisiting some tunes I learned aeons ago I came across this one, not yet here, it seems. From Eliza Carthy's "Rice"; traditional according to her liner notes.
Which tradition though? English, Scottish, Irish, Indonesian?
It's in Andrew Kuntz's "Fiddler's Companion" (contents are available on line - it's a very good source). It is known by being in the tunebook of the c19 fiddler Lawrence Leadley who lived at Helperby, Yorkshire, Northern England. This place is not far North of York.

Thanks Nicholas. I should've thought of TFC, having contributed some transcriptions myself.
